South Asia Women's Entrepreneurship Symposium :
The objective of
developing the portal is to advance women’s entrepreneurship, networking
and information sharing for women entrepreneurs, and to promote market
linkages between women entrepreneurs across South Asia and beyond.
This portal is made possible by support from The Asia Foundation and the U.S. Department of State. https://www.sawes.org/
Background and Context : Since September 2012, The Asia Foundation (TAF) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS) have partnered on an innovative South Asia regional program to advance women’s entrepreneurship. This program advances the U.S. Government’s “New Silk Road” goals of enhanced regional economic integration and increased trade across South and Central Asia and builds directly on the DOS 2012 South Asia Women’s Entrepreneurship Symposium (SAWES). https://www.sawes.org/about_us
